Scamp was filled with a guilty sense of pure joy. He held her gaze in balance before it turned into a mischievous expression. He gave her a small, nervous smile. "That really means a lot to me, Angel." he told her in embarrassment. "Really." The fact that she had chosen him over a home was as mind-boggling as it already was. He nuzzled her on the cheek affectionately. "Thank you." He thanked her quietly. He turned to look back up at Fletcher. "Uh... I guess you could come with us if you wanted." he said giving a shrug.

Angel felt as if a huge weight had been lifted off her shoulders. While she would certainly miss the home comforts she'd begun to appreciate, as well as the family, being with Scamp like this was more than worth sacrificing them for. The smaller, more insecure part of her wanted to make Scamp promise never to abandon her the way he just had their family, but the pomeranian held her tongue. Tenderfoot wouldn't, she was certain, and there was no need to let him know that the possibility of being left alone was still one that she feared.
For the first time in her life, the small blonde canine was entirely free, and with a pup she loved at her side. This was the moment she''d been living for for so many months, without even knowing it. Her long-lost puppyhood caught up with her, and Angel gave an excited bark, cutting across Scamp's path. "I'll race you out of town, Tenderfoot." she challenged playfully, her fluffy tail lashing back and forth as it wagged furiously.

Scamp blinked in surprise, speechless. He had never seen this side of Angel before... but it didn't mean he didn't like it. A mischievious grin stretched across his face. "Heh, If you thinks you can keep up!" he answered. With that he let out a short, playful howl and raced off towards the edge of town.
Never before in his life had he felt so free. Sure he was goingto miss his family, but with Angel at his side and the world to explore that didn't matter. For once he finally felt he had done something right.
