Name: Jenna
Age: mid-30s, canine years
Basic Appearance: Jenna is a red-furred Siberian husky. She has a creamy white face, underbelly and paws, a rather pointed muzzle, small paws and a curved tail. She wears a reddish-orange bandana around her neck and her eyes are an orange shade of brown.
Film: Balto (and sequels)
Photo:
Personality: Jenna is generally a loving, caring canine, but she has little difficulty being tough when the situation demands it – such as when dealing with Steele. She has a tendency to look at a person’s true nature, instead of going along with the popular opinion of them – a trait that can make her come off as rebellious under some circumstances.
History: Born and raised in Nome, Alaska… and mate to a half-wolf. Jenna’s life pretty much returned to normal after Aleu’s departure. She continues to live with Rosy, seeing Balto whenever she can and also keeping an eye on their now full-grown pups around Nome.
Family: Birth family unknown, Balto (mate) and six pups
Friends: Dixie, Sylvie, Boris, Rosy.
Enemies: Steele
Sample Post: Her tail was held high behind her as Jenna trotted through the snow-covered streets of Nome. Remembering. The first time she’d met Balto, when he’d outrun Steele on this very road just to save Rosy’s hat – and, as the young human maintained, although Jenna still wasn’t quite sure she believed it or not, to impress her. Back when she’d been younger, almost carefree…
The memory did nothing if cause a smile to stretch across the husky’s muzzle. It all seemed so long ago now, but at the time, Jenna didn’t think she would have ever believed that she would one day carry Balto’s pups. He had been charming, of course, but it had seemed so unlikely…
A voice calling her name drew Jenna back to the present, and she looked up to see Dixie and Sylvie approaching from either side. Excitement was evident in Dixie’s tone as she called Jenna’s name again, although it was impossible to tell if that was a good thing or not.
“What is it, Dixie?” Jenna asked, slowing to allow her two friends to catch up to her. Dixie was practically quivering with whatever news she was carrying.
“It’s Steele!” she squeaked, and the red-furred husky felt her blood run cold. “He’s back in Nome! I’d forgotten how gorgeous he was!” she simpered happily, while behind them, Sylvie rolled her eyes. Jenna, however couldn’t say anything. She was so sure that Steele was out of her life for good – what could possibly make him return now? And she knew enough of the larger husky to know that he would not take her having chosen Balto over him well at all. Would he – her heart pumped faster with dread at the very thought – take his revenge on her pups? Was even Steele that cruel?
Damn, why did I enjoy writing Dixie so much in that sample? XD
