Danielle looked up at Dodger. He was really what she envisioned in a street-dog gang leader. He had confidence, he was cool... and not to mention a little handsome. She grinned, trotting along with him. "I'm from this New England town. My daddy used to be a street dog but he settled down with my mom. My brother Scamp and I would always wrestle around and play-fight in the backyards of our big house. And one day, Scamp ran away to be a street dog himself!" She chuckled in between what she was saying. Scamp could be such a doofus sometimes! "But he was too chicken and he ran back home, bringing his girlfriend who used to live in the junkyard with him."
She gave a sigh. "And I was always sort of forgotten and neglected at home... there were a lot of us and I was always treated as the runt- an outcast that no-one cared about. So I wanted to join the street dogs, because, ya know, they're like me! Outcasts! But there was no-one at our Junkyard... so I came here!!"

Rita shook her head as she listened to Danielle's story. "That's what most of us are, sweetie." she said. "Negleted or forgotten by people." A wide smile came to her face. "But you'll learn being a street-dog is the best life you could ever ask for." She strode ahead of Dodger, her tail swishing behind her. "But first you gotta learn the ropes, kid." She called behind her shoulder

Her golden head nodded eagerly. "Duh! Of course I know that! I don't have a lot of training, I know- most of it is just in my blood. But I'll be the best dang street dog there ever was!" she called eagerly, hopping along and trying to follow up. This was going to be great- she could feel it. And it was also going to be fun- a lot of fun! And if her daddy ever found out, well, he'd be proud, wouldn't he?

Oliver was glad that Danielle seemed friendly. A little on the rambunctious side, but what canine wasn't? ...Other than Georgette, that is. Dodger even said she could hang out with them. That was a good thing. He stepped out from behind Einstein at last and moved a little closer to the cocker pup. After all, she was to be their new friend. He might as well get to know her. "Nice to meet you, Danielle. I'm Oliver... one of these guys' friends. I used to be a part of their gang before... well, I found a home." Oliver said, though the last part was said with a hint of sheepishness. Had he really missed hanging out with the old gang? Perhaps so, but it didn't mean he wanted to leave his life with Jenny behind. After all, he still wore his collar with pride. He had only come out to spend a day with his friends. He'd be back to Jenny's home before too much time passed.

Danielle turned to face Oliver as she continued to walk. A cat!? In a dog gang!? That sure was funny! She smiled at the cat. "Well, it's nice to meet'cha, Oliver!" She giggled a little. He seemed like a kind kitten. His attitude and collar reminded her of her sisters. It made her wonder what they were doing. Were they possibly doing something fun back at home? And what about Scamp?
NO! Danielle thought, You're a street dog now! Your family cast you aside, like you were the runt- worthless! They don't love you, these guys do!

Dodger grinned at Rita, smiling softly as he turned to the kitten and the pup. He rolled his shoulders, stretching a little before scratching behind his ear and turning that slick grin on the whole group.
"Kid," he said, "You can be good. But you'll never be as good as the Dodger." He grinned and lept up on a garbage can. Howling, he jumped down, knocking over the garbage can at the same time.
"How's that slick move kid?"

Dani's eyes widened at Dodger. How cool was he!? "So slick!" she replied, excitedly. As an answer to his move, she ran to the garbage can and hopped up on it. It was a little difficult to stand on and it rolled under her feet with every step that she took, which just provoked the small cocker mix to hop-step, moving the can forward in the same direction Dodger was. "B-but how's this!?" Dani questioned, a wide grin on her maw. Boy, was she proud of herself, even if it was a juvenile sort of street trick.

Einstein smiled at Danielle, tongue still hanging out of his mouth. The puppy seemed nice. He lowered his neck so his head wasn't towering above her. He didn't want to intimidate her. "Welcome to the gang, kid!" Einstein said, still smiling.
Einstein saw her 'slick move'. He was impressed. He was never able to do something like that. "How did you do that?" Einstein asked, looking amazed.

Einstein wasn't the only one who was surprised. Rita watched as Danielle rolled past her on top of the garbage can. She smiled. Looked like the cocker was fitting in well. But despite her impressment, Rita couldn't help but wonder if the newbie really did belong in New York. Judging by the white collar that hung around her neck, she must of come from a wealthy family. "Yo kid, don't you think your family misses you?" she asked Danielle, planting her rear on the ground.

Slow...... the little Chihuahua was slow. He had decided to meet up with Rita and the others but decided to stop at Mario's a local pizza parlor if he was quick enough he could run inside and grab a few slices before anyone ever even noticed. And if that didn't work he could always find an employee to give him what he wanted with the puppy dog look. Those dumb humans fell for anything.
He had finally caught up with the others and wags his tail as he walks up to the gang when he noticed the new dog. She was way to pretty to be a street dog in his opinion but he kept his mouth shut. "Hey you guys" Tito said with his mouth full from the slice of the Sausage pizza slice he had conned.

Einstein spotted his small buddy eating the Pizza slice he had obtained. "Oh, hey Tito." Einstein said with a smile. He was glad to see another member of the gang show up. His tail was wagging slightly.
"This little lady just joined us." Einstein said, turning his head to face Danielle.
