Personality: Oliver is a naïve young kitten and rather friendly in nature. He is kind and honest, and is incredibly loyal to his good friends. He can be bold when he wants to be, but for the most part Oliver isn’t a very good fighter. When his friends are in trouble, though, Oliver will throw himself into danger to try and help them.
History: Oliver was born in New York City along with a handful of brothers and sisters. When he and his siblings were put up for adoption, his siblings were all taken while he was left alone in the cold world of the New York streets. The day after he was left on his own, Oliver met up with a street smart mutt named Dodger who he assisted in getting hotdogs that he thought would be shared with him. However, Dodger abandoned him after getting the food and left him to his own devices. Oliver followed him to his gang’s home where he was eventually taken in after a run-in with Sykes’ dogs, Roscoe and DeSoto. Before the pair of Doberman left Oliver scratched DeSoto’s nose and earned himself a spot in Dodger’s gang.
The next day he tried to assist the gang on a mission to try and acquire money for their master, Fagin’s, debt but ended up being taken in by a rich girl named Jenny. She named him Oliver and even gave him a collar, making him truly feel like he was a part of her home. It didn’t last long, though, because soon after that Dodger came to ‘rescue’ him. However, Oliver revealed that he didn’t want to be rescued. He wanted to go back to Jenny. He was eventually used by Fagin to try and get money because he was convinced that Jenny was a rich old man that would have a lot of money to get Oliver back with.
Jenny did come to rescue Oliver, but soon after that Sykes showed up and kidnapped Jenny. Oliver was once again left behind and it seemed as though he would have to rescue her on his own, but Dodger volunteered himself and the rest of the gang, including Jenny’s dog Georgette, to help rescue her. They were able to rescue Jenny and even killed Sykes in the process, but while trying to help get away from Sykes in the chase that led to the man’s death Oliver was knocked out. It seemed he had died, but he eventually came to his senses and returned to living with Jenny.
After all of that, things became pretty peaceful for Oliver. He lived a happy life with Jenny and put up with Georgette to some degree, and even paid visits to the gang every once in a while when Jenny was at school. If you were to ask the kitten’s opinion, Oliver would have to say he was living a pretty good life and was quite satisfied with where he was.
Family: A handful of unnamed brothers and sisters
Friends: Dodger, Rita, Tito, Einstein, Francis, Fagin, Jenny, and Georgette
Enemies: Sykes, Roscoe, and DeSoto
Sample Post: With Jenny at school and Georgette content with doing her own thing, Oliver felt that it was time to pay his old canine friends a visit again. The circular tag attached to his collar jingled a bit as he padded toward the front door. Seeing the door shut, the kitten frowned a little and looked for another way out. Ah! An open window. Perfect! Oliver leaped onto the windowsill, struggling just a little as he got onto it, and squeezed through the opening. It wasn’t long before he found himself leaping out of the window and onto the ground below it.
“All right! Now off to see how Dodger and the others are doing.” Oliver said, tail flicking from side to side as he eagerly bounded down the street. It wouldn’t be long before he ran into the old gang. Boy, they would be glad to see him!
